VOLOLAND is a composite name combining 'drone' for flying and 'land' for landing and land.
CEO Ahn Seong-ho introduced VOLOLAND as a drone solutions company focused on drone stations and tethering (wired) systems.
He explained, "VOLOLAND's main products are stations of drone and systems of drone, flight controllers, and JAVIA, a high-performance AI edge computer. Among them, the rapid-charging battery swap station is the primary focus. Wired drones can stay airborne for 5 to 10 hours when supplied with batteries."
In this exhibition, VOLOLAND focused primarily on promoting stations of drone (SION) and heavy-duty delivery drones.
He said, "VOLOLAND has a track record of specializing in station development and delivery, and we hold patents. Our dreams are big. The unmanned aerial vehicle industry requires not only drones but also stations that support automation. Our company is also planning to expand into drone taxis and vertiports for UAM (Urban Air Mobility)."
CEO Ahn has a diverse background, with 10 years of experience in software development, ship design in the shipbuilding industry, electronics, and security.
He also serves as the CEO of "Davinci Sky", a jointly invested drone company. He stated, "I want to further grow the drone business through collaboration to create a vision with AMP and PRENEU. It was challenging due to a lack of investment capital. I hope we can hire more software engineers."
Currently, there are five developers, known as the 'Eagle Five,' and VOLOLAND plans to expand its team to ten members next year.
